Our Story

Since she was a little girl Emily has been with her father who taught her how to raise and run beagles for rabbit hunting and for trials. At some of the events her dad took her to through the years there were some businesses that had brought collars to sell and had their tools there making them. It always amazed her that the collars that she had on her dog had been made in the same fashion.

One day when she was in her mid 20’s, a stay at home mom of 2 boys, and wife to a wonderful husband who’s work always seemed to keep him away from home, Emily got a call from her father. After she hung the phone up she immediately called her husband to tell him what she had just been told.

Drake was setting at the fire station, less than halfway through his 24 hour shift, watching a show on tv, and wishing he were at home with his family. — He had been a fireman for 3 years now and when he started he thought he would be able to stop doing home renovations and just be a fireman, something that would be great because he would get 2 full days at home for every 1 day at work. Sadly this was not the case, a firefighter salary barley could cover food for his small American family, so he still did construction to make ends meet, even though this meant he was hardly ever home while the sun was up. — As he was getting to “the good part” of whatever show or movie he was watching, his phone began to ring. He answered and listened. Now we still aren’t sure exactly how the conversation went but the phrases “you have been saying that you want to find a job you can do from home,” “I think its a really good deal,” and “this is something we can do together,” were used. He knew that this was something that she really wanted and even though he couldn’t see her, he knew she had those big puppy-dog eyes.

So here we are, a husband and wife who bought a business from a man that had been simply making dog collars out of his basement for probably 20 years. I told her if we were going to do this we were going to put everything we have in it, because if I am going to get the chance to stop doing construction then we are going to have to put everything that we have into it. We have a goal and all the materials and plans on how to get there, now all we need are Customers!
