1 ½ inch wide. The length is measured from the place where the buckle attaches to the belt, to the 4th hole (middle hole). The total length will be approximately 5 inches longer than the length ordered.
Standard belt sizes are 2 inches greater than pants size. If you wear a 34 in pants and you order a 36 belt, you will probably use the middle hole.
Your text can be stamped on the back letters and spaces take up approximately 1 inch each and there is approximately 10 less inches of space to put text than the length of belt.
